Biography

Furnished in fringe suede jackets, snakeskin boots and scorpion bolo ties, The Mossley Hillbillies state their name.

This 6-piece Country Freakoutfit blur the lines between Country, Rock'n'Roll and Psych. Taking influence from Willie Nelson, The Modern Lovers, Link Wray and The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Mossley Hillbillies take you on a journey through a century of music in and out of the abstract.

After a string of outings across the Wild (North) West, this ace-high posse has a conveyor belt of releases on the horizon.

Their first release in April - ‘'Can You See Me Falling? (For You)'’ - was a fervent first introduction. The consistent and contagious country melody married to winsome lyrics and harmonies gave the Mossley Hillbillies an instant identity. This debut dissemination epitomises what they have in the pipeline.

As fast as a freight train and sharp as a razor, the aptly named ''Sofia'' - is a fierce and energetic second release and an instinctive follow-up that carries on the narrative of love that was and love that's now lost. This heavy hitter packs a punch that goes down easier than Sunday service wine.

''The Dust'' is the third-down payment in the scouse cowboy's gold rush. This meteorology melody bears resemblance to a deconstructed western film score that's been fused back together in the eye of a Merseyside hurricane. Due to arrive Friday 3rd June, ''The Dust'' is a clear nod to the Black Sunday dust bowl in 1935, the biggest storm ever recorded. The patient introduction of this weather report does little to prepare you for the squall of noise this tornado manifests. Lock your front door and say goodbye to ya brolly; The Dust is coming.

'Ain't Got No One'', ''Riverbed'' and ''Stomp Stomp Boogie'' will be the next fruits harvested from the field of production and are scheduled for release in the very near future.
